Early Life and Education
Tanya Mishra comes from Gaya, Bihar. She completed her education before moving towards modelling and acting as a professional career. Reports state that she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Magadh University.
Moving from Gaya to the Mumbai entertainment industry required her to adapt to an entirely different professional environment. Instead of receiving immediate mainstream recognition, Tanya developed her portfolio through fashion events, pageants, photoshoots and screen projects.
Born on 31 January 1999, Tanya turned 27 in January 2026.
Tanya Mishra’s Modelling Journey
Tanya began her professional journey as a model. Modelling provided her with experience in front of the camera and helped her develop confidence, presentation skills and an understanding of fashion.
She reportedly participated in the IAWA Miss India pageant in 2019 and finished as the fourth runner-up. Pageants often require participants to demonstrate more than physical appearance. They are also evaluated on communication, confidence and stage presence.

Ghaznavi Movie
Tanya Mishra made her Hindi-film debut in Ghaznavi, an action-thriller directed and written by Sanoj Mishra. The film was released on 3 March 2023.
She was credited as Tanyaa Mishra and played a character named Neha. The film follows a man who wakes up after losing his memory and struggles to discover his real identity. Ghaznavi remains Tanya’s clearly documented feature-film credit.
It would be inaccurate to describe Tanya as the sole lead of the film because the production featured an ensemble cast. The safest wording is that she appeared in Ghaznavi as Neha.

Acting in a feature film requires a different approach from posing for a fashion shoot. An actor must understand the character, react to other performers and communicate emotion throughout a scene. The project therefore represented another stage in Tanya’s entertainment journey.
Chidiya Udd Web Series
Tanya Mishra is credited with an appearance in one episode of the 2025 crime-drama series Chidiya Udd. The series was released on Amazon MX Player and its principal cast included Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Mita Vashisht, Flora Saini and Bhoomika Meena.
Tanya’s publicly available credit does not provide a character name. Therefore, she should be described as having a brief credited appearance rather than being presented as one of the lead actors or as sharing a major role with the principal cast.
Music-Video Appearances
Music videos form another part of Tanya Mishra’s work. She is credited in Rehbara 2.0, while entertainment reports have also associated her with songs such as Nakhro and Tu Mera Ho Jaeyga.
Kasoor (2026): Her biggest hit to date. Co-starring Samir Alizoda, this deeply emotional romantic track became an online sensation and crossed 10 million views on YouTube within months of its release.
Kyu Tha Tu Mera (2026): A melancholic, sad romantic Hindi song sung by Mohammed Izhar that features Tanya dealing with the pain of lost love.
Khwaab (2025): A mesmerizing, lighthearted romantic song under Yellow Brick Road Music, praised heavily on social media for Tanya’s adorable screen presence and cute expressions.
Rehbara 2.0 (2025): A romantic-sad track released by Vidnet Music where she stars alongside popular actor Abhishek Bajaj.
Zindagi (2024): A soulful track sung by Bollywood playback singer Shahid Mallya, featuring Tanya alongside Faisal Saifi.
Haar Gaya Dil (2024): An intense, heart-wrenching track dealing with heartbreak and resilience, featuring the vocals of veteran singer Anand Raj Anand.
Nakhro & Tu Mera Ho Jaeyga: Two of her early prominent music video credits that initially helped her gain strong digital recognition.
Was Tanya Mishra in Chase?
Several recent entertainment reports associate Tanya Mishra with a thriller project titled Chase and claim that she played a CBI inspector. However, no dependable release page, year, director, platform or complete cast record for a separate Tanya Mishra project with this title could be verified.
This claim should not be confused with the 2022 Kannada film Chase. In that film, Radhika Narayan played Nidhi, the CBI officer, and Tanya Mishra is not included in the official cast listings. For this reason, Chase should not be presented as a confirmed Tanya Mishra film unless reliable production credits become available.
Music videos form another part of Tanya Mishra’s work. She is credited in Rehbara 2.0, while entertainment reports have also associated her with songs such as Nakhro and Tu Mera Ho Jaeyga.
Music videos depend heavily on expressions, camera awareness and visual presentation. Tanya’s modelling experience naturally supports these requirements.
Why Is Tanya Mishra Called the National Crush?
The term “national crush” is regularly used by social-media users when an actor, model or public personality suddenly attracts widespread admiration. It does not come from a government body, film organisation or official public vote.
In Tanya’s case, fans began using the expression after her photographs received increased attention online. Admirers particularly commented on her eyes, styling and confident camera presence.
Calling Tanya Mishra the national crush reflects a viral social-media moment rather than a formal achievement. Her lasting position in entertainment will depend on her acting work and the projects she chooses beyond the current trend.
Tanya Mishra’s Social-Media Presence
Tanya shares fashion photographs, professional updates and glimpses of her work through her Instagram profile, @tanyaamishraofficial_. Her account has developed an audience of more than one million followers, although social-media numbers naturally change over time.
Her online presence allows her to communicate directly with followers without relying only on film promotions or traditional media. It has also played an important role in bringing her previous work to the attention of a larger audience.
More Than a Viral Photograph
It may appear that Tanya became popular overnight, but her entertainment journey began before the current online attention. Pageant participation, modelling assignments, film work, music videos and an OTT appearance had already contributed to her professional experience.

The viral label has provided greater visibility, but it should not become the only way audiences recognise her. The next stage of her career will be shaped by the quality and variety of her screen roles.
